A grand welcom ceremony is being prepared for the Nepali football team that is returning home after beating Bahrain U-23 in Bangabandhu Gold Cup, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Friday. The team is arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport at 1pm on Saturday. The national football team will be circling around the Capital city starting from airport to Gaushala, New Baneshwor, Singha Durbar, Bhandrakali, Ratnapark and Dasarath Stadium at last. The All Nepal Football Association on Friday announced Rs 500,000 each to the 23-member Nepali squad, while the National Sports Council had already declared Rs 200,000 each to the team members. The victory at Bangabandhu Gold Cup also marks the end of Nepali football’s 23-year title drought.
